something to look forward to!
And here's the view from the back porch (hi Kim! ha ha). Kim is not usually part of the view...

I can't wait, I'm very due for a vacation since I was cruelly unable to visit Shelle and the fam in Georgia this summer! Darn ol' work...
I'll be taking a posse of peeps up north with me for my birthday weekend again this year, we've had a ton of fun the past three years. Hopefully it'll be warmer this year than last year, right Diana?? :-)
One pic not from my concert

Blatantly copied from Shelle's blog...
I was reading my best friend Shelle's blog this morning, and I have to copy part of her latest post:

just tired...
I've learned a few things the past few days...
- gel clings on windows will eventually melt right onto the window and make a gooey mess
- the fur on stuffed animals will melt when thrown into a light fixture and the light bulb is turned on (especially if mommy doesn't realize it for several hours)
- a neglected garden will eventually be overcome with weeds
- frogs like to jump into my pool...but then can't get out

One of my favorite things about my friends with kids (besides the fact that I love their kids) is that they get to say things I never say in my life! Like "don't color on the dog!". ha ha I am grateful that my friends are finding out such useful things about how gel clings melt to windows, because this is research I'd have no idea about! :-)
I have learned the one about a neglected garden though... ha ha

My first blog... evah!
I could pass along a proverb always spouted by my dad, and say "Support your local hernia!", or "don't make a mess!" (ah, what memories that one conjures up!)...
But if I had to pass along something I've learned so far in my too-short 36 years on this blue planet, it might be
"i" after "e", except after "c", or as sounded like "a" in "neighbor" and "weigh"...
Those who know me know my inordinate fondness for the English language, and those who pique my ire by bruising it! ha ha The mere sight of an "alot" can send me into spasms.
But enough about my spasms, I think I'm moving along in this, my very first blog! I don't think it's very interesting just yet, but we'll see how it turns out. ha ha I am, after all, sitting at my desk here at work, at 4:20 on a Saturday afternoon, anxious to get out of here so that I can get to the next activity on my list for today: Going to see the Police in concert at Pine Knob (sorry DTE, but it'll always be Pine Knob for me, ever since my first concert there... Sting! See a full circle there?) tonight!!
Can't wait, the Police have been my favorite group since I was in 2nd grade. I always told my mom I'd take Sting to my prom, but since that plan fizzled, this is a distant second... ha ha
Well, dear readers (if I have any)... hopefully my blogs will be entertaining, occasionally informative, and if nothing else -- full of my wacky take on life. Enjoy!
